Arghhh.. My racer seems to be overheating now. I burped the radiator fluid but the main problem seems to be the radiator fan doesn't come on. Anyone else with this problem... or a solution to this problem?
On another note I got to test ride a pegasus today... tempted.... very very tempted..

Did you check the electrical connections and fuse? You may want to supply current direct to see that the fan is working.
As with many of the Chinese units, loose electrical connections and pinched wires are not uncommon, sometimes the problem manifests itself only after getting some miles on it, other then that it could only be the sending unit.

If the fan is the problem, they can be replaced by a comparable 12v computer fan. A lot cheaper.
Otherwise usually the temp sensor is at fault. You can purchase alternate sensors with lower temp detects that will bring the fan on sooner.

You can check your radiator fan (for function) and the temp sensor/sending unit (for function) as Jacine and Andi suggest. You can also bypass the sending unit by hard wiring the leads to the unit itself. This will make your fan run all the time... but it will also show you if your fan works, and if it makes a difference in your temp shown on the gauge cluster...
You should also check your Radiator lines going to and from the radiator. Is the Hot line very hot, or luke warm? If not hot, then that may be why your fan doesn't come on. That also suggests a circulation problem. It could be that your thermostat is stuck, or an air-pocket is still present in the system, or your water pump has failed... or more than likely, your temp sending unit at the carburetor (to show on the gauge) is misleading you...
You can also check the temp of the Engine cylinder, the radiator and the hot coolant line with a laser thermometer. We normally get about 160-165 at the cylinder, which means the 180 deg thermostat won't open for some time... and there will be no circulation...
So in case you haven't figure out everything yet, just make sure the engine is really hot first... saves alot of work in trying to find out why it's running 'hot'... ( - ;
So first, check your coolant hoses for Hot and luke warm... and then your radiator... don't burn yourself - just get close to feel the heat off these parts to check first...
If the radiator and its inlet hose are hot, check the fan for electrical function... just give it juice to make sure it works... and the fan blades is not 'scraping' the radiator...
Then, check your sensor on the radiator... could be a bad switch... you can check it for ohms with a Volt/Ohm meter...
If the coolant hose that goes to the radiator is luke warm or cool, get a real temperature check at the engine cylinder and radiator... your temp gauge sending unit at the carburetor may not be functioning correctly either providing you a false reading... and if the engine is very hot, it could be a stuck thermostat... or a busted water pump...
I didn't put in cold beers at any point during this procedure... use your own judgement on that... ( - ;

You know, when you have a problem like this the first place to start is to contact the dealer that sold it to see if they have any tips. Theoretically, they should know as much about the scooter as anyone and may have encountered the same issues at one time or another. Stan Arghhh.. My racer seems to be overheating now. Stan,
I guess I assumed too much about his dealer when I saw the brand / model in the title...
CCarnel,
Stan is correct, beat up your dealer on this issue first... then let us know if you still need assistance...

Ok most problems solved now:
I've found that my radiator fan is dead. To solve the problem I've removed the headlights and used some sheetmetal to duct air directly to the radiator. It works pretty good right now other than the fact I'm not legal without headlights but I haven't been pulled over yet. Parts have been sent from Evosales and i'm eagerly waiting their arrival. They should be here by the weekend.
I also was having some problems getting the tires balanced on this scooter and when I took it to have them professionally balanced it would seem that the wheels are both out of round. The rear is very out of round and the front is less so. Strangely enough the front of the scoot is what is vibrating quite badly (though I can feel it in the rear as well).
I'm guessing that the reduced mass up front allows the out of round wheel to bounce the front end around a lot more than the rear.
I'm also going to replace the tires front and rear with something of a little higher quality and not nylon corded. Evosales is going to ship me out a brand new set of wheels as soon as their next shipment arrives which Moises@evosales has assured me will be about 2 weeks
I've looked at kenda and michelin and am leaning toward the Kenda's Anyone here with experience with either? I think the Kenda tires are about 25 bucks a piece.
I have to give thanks to Jim@Bandit as he helped me a lot over the phone do some trouble shooting with my cooling problems. I'm a little hamfisted trying to trouble shoot some of these problems and he made it very simple. The above trouble shooting post also helped me greatly. Also thanks to Jim for getting the torque specs and exact method of removal of the rear wheel for the scoot.
I can't wait to get my parts in so all the little issues have been worked out. I presently have about 600km on the scooter and still riding to and from work every day, presently I'm trying to find a pair of motorcycle rearview mirrors that can be adjusted better than the stock pieces.

Rony evosales.comWell, I did E mail the company that imports the racer about a bolt that simply came apart when I hand tightened it, but as of yet, no response on that one... since then, after a two week trip out of town for an emergency, the whole thing will not start at all (the fuel pump seems to have died at the ripe old age of 177 km)... Can you tell me why no one answered me about the bolt, or the price of a replacement part I asked about over a month ago?
