The highbeam on my headlight burned out tonight on my People 250. The manual didn't show a part number, it just gave me the 12V 35W/35W information on the headlight bulb. Can any bulb with these specifications work? Like from walmart? I'm lucky the whole thing didn't blow at once...

I checked the maint manual for the S250 as well. No more information there than in the P250. I think that you may have to pull the bulb to get the number off it ... but I think it is standard. This might help: www.powlight.com/catalog5.html#id_1

That's good, thanks. I'll check walmart wednesday or friday and see if they have anything that matches and I'll post what I find. Anything to save a few bucks!

Ashley; Doubt you will find a 35W35 at WalMart. It is not a standard American auto wattage headlight bulb. Call a KYMCO dealer or pull the bulb and search the internet to compare your bulb with the pictures. Stan Jessup at www.oregonvintage.com/Sorder250.html lists two different 35W bulb styles. If yours is one of those, order from Stan. He is one of the good guys!

According to the service manual for the people/people s 250 it says the people s 250 uses an HS1. I bet the regular people uses the same, but I'm not 100% certain. www.rallylights.com/hella/misc_bulbs.asp#PX45t"HS1 is a new range halogen bulb with a PX 43t fitting. The only difference between the HS1 and an H4 halogen bulb, is that the middle pin at the base is 1-2mm thicker. Hence the notation PX 43t compared to P43t. The HS1 will become the standard bulb for all new 2 wheelers launched." Got this info off of this site: www.boschindia.com/content/language1/html/7812.htm

Well would I find this at Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts or O' Reiley's? The Kymco dealership is a little bit farther away than I'd like to drive, and I'd rather not order it off the internet because shipping is more than the bulb itself! Thanks though!

Ashley; The answer to your question is the same as I posted above. These are not common bulbs and usually not found in auto parts stores unless they carry a speciality line. If you have other cycle shops close by, you might check with them. I ordered a 35W bulb from my local Harley shop. Said at first he had never seen anything like it but after he looked in a catalog, he found many listed. I didn't tell him it was for a Chinese scoot, just that it was used by the "Name Brand" scoots, like Suzuki, Honda, etc. Take the bulb with you.

Yeah Online or a cycle/scooter shop are your best bets.

Grrr...ok thanks. I hate to go that extra effort to find something as simple as a bulb...Guess it could be worse.

See stan jessup for people 250 head light bulbs. They are a h4 35w/35w p43 base. Not the same as the s 250. seems to be a problem item in the kymco people 250 bikes.
