I wonder if this has the CF Moto engine or the Linhai?? Looks pretty good, and a good price.

It takes a lot of guts to say they have a 12 month warranty. I wonder what that 12 month warranty really covers after you get through all the caveats. of course then there is getting parts, they don't seem to have parts for the stuff they already have out there, what would make this different. Albeit you could get parts from other sources. I do wonder about the 13" wheels though. I thought the 250's were using a smaller rear wheel than the front. other than those thoughts, it doesn't look bad.

There is a new CFMoto drive train this year that will allow larger wheels. This model has been listed for a while but has not shown up at dealers. My Roketa dealer friend had one come into his shop last Fall, from NJ, I think.

Ken Definitely looks like the Linhai engine in the picture, don't see the Stainless Steel exhaust pipe though unless it's painted black. Hmmm ..... radio/cassette sound system? Sounds like a downgrade, anybody uses tapes anymore? I use a MP3 player in my car (on my Radio/CD deck) for convenience. Andi

What is the availability of parts for Rocketas? I'm very tempted to buy one of these. My search for a used Honda Reflex isn't going well. The ones I do find are nearly the same price as a brand new one. Apparently Reflexes hold there value quite well.
I also wonder the availability of the Linai engine parts? CFMoto parts are supposed to be easy to get, has anyone tried getting Linhai parts yet?

I have a Strada 125, had a problem with the electric fuel enrichment valve breaking off (it was hitting the frame), but solved that, otherwise I love it. Now I'm looking to get a 250 -300cc scooter, either the new Roketa or the Strada. The Roketa is cheaper but I've heard of some quality problems - comments?

I bought my RoadRunner Road Queen from evosales.com. So far I am/have been very pleased with them. They were very nice on the phone each time I called, I paid for my scooter via wire transfer (which honestly worried me a little) but everything worked out great....I got my paperwork in the mail before the scooter even arrived at my house 9 days after ordering it. I did alot of "homework" on lots of different scooter companies and one of the reasons I chose evosales to order from is because they have a good rating with the BBB (better business bureau). It is worth the time it takes to check these places out. Please do so before ordering from just any company. There were several other scooters i really wanted from different companies, but went with the "second choice" because of the better rating of the company. I highly recommend evosales.

I bought one of these from Valley. It was a great deal, fast service, and no problems. I have a couple of hundred miles on the bike and it is more fun than my Yamaha Royal Star!!!! It was at my house in a week, (central Texas) Changed all the fluids and not one problem with the bike. In my mind Roketa's rule ;D

Bought one from John at Valley Scooters several months ago. Have no complaints.
earlwb - Yes, those really are 13" wheels. On one of the forums, I posted a picture of me measuring the rear wheel.
mike (Hy-Pro Scooters) - If I see your rant about Roketas one more time, I might scream. BTW, shouldn't you be posting that over on the other forum? Give it a rest.

I know we have some happy campers here, but that doesn't make the unhappy ones feel any better. The thread at Topix is 19 pages long and growing.

He also said that about Roketa scooters back in June, someone dredged up this thread. Tomtom, I keep my eyes out for some local guy on a MC54, but haven't seen you yet

I wish they'd leave the remote start alarm system off, forget the radio, leave it off too. Keep it simple. But nooooo, they have to throw in all that crap to drive people crazy with. I would want to change out the Bando CVT belt soon, after you are pretty sure it is working OK. They seem to wear down pretty fast. I would be interested in a 250cc scooter if it was relatively simple to get at things without having to dissassemble half the scooter every time you want to fix something. Hummm, maybe one of the Helix Clones, or maybe they'll have a 250cc Ruckus clone soon. I much prefer the KISS principle on these scooters.
Cool tomtom, let us know how it goes with your ride. Getting parts from Roketa has been pretty much a dead issue, they don't have any. You have to buy everything from a third party instead.

I can't get excited over reviews of a scooter with just a few hundred miles on the meter. I start to get interested after a few thousand miles. This isn't a put down for anyone's choice of scooter, just don't count on anything until you see the beef.

Earl - Once you taken the body panels off and put them back on enough times (like I have) it becomes almost second nature and you can do it pretty quickly . Eventually, you do get the problems with initial poor quality worked out and then hopefully don't have to take the panels off too much. I'm hopeful that that is where my scooter is at now. Gary PS: You'll really like a 250. With my 150, 'm WOT on almost any road. With the 250, I canjust cruise on anything but the freeway.

This seems like we are asking for more poor quality.

CVT belts on 150s seem to wear out faster than those on the 250 scoots. My CFMoto/Honda clone Bando belt is still in great shape after 2,200 Kms. Very little belt dust and wear. Don't know yet how well the belts hold up on the Linhai 260/300 scoots. Have inquired about this to a dealer but not heard back.
