About a week ago, I went to what I understand to be the U.S. Roketa website (www.roketa.com), called their toll free line, and asked about reputable distributers. I did this before I knew about this forum. The person answering the phone told me to call Vince at Scooterdynasty.com, that he had good warranties and access to parts. Does anyone here know about this dealer? I'm really interested in a 250 that just posted to his website the last day or so called the 250cc Roketa Ranger MC-54-250. Seems to be significantly larger than the Bali 250, which is good since I am 6'4". Also has 13" wheels and by appearance would go 2 up. Very interested in this bike. Any info about the Dealer and the bike would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Phil javascript:add("%20:)") Smiley

Phil, This looks like the Honda Reflex clone that began selling on the internet this spring. I have seen them for less on ebay (as low as 1795 as I recall). It appears as though they are using the cfmoto type 244cc with the stretch to allow for the larger tires. I know nothing about the dealer (happy with mine though!) As stated by many, if you are mechanically inclined it may be ok to go with. Jon

I do pretty well with most aspects. A bit weak with electrical. I'm seriously considering this bike, mainly because it looks like it can accomodate my size (6'4") better than the other Chinese 250s I've seen. I'll keep posting as things progress. Phil

BE aware Phil that the Helix clones are LOW LOW LOW to the ground. I am 6'2 and I sit knees bent on those. If you want something that is great for tall people try the QLink Pegasus. I stand on the balls of my feet on that and it has 16"wheels/tires

Mike - a few more thoughts. I thought more about your post and realized I mis-read. I understand what your saying. I don't think I'll mind low to the ground as long as my legs can stretch out a little bit. It's hard to tell how much room I'll have from the photos of this bike. From the posted specs, maybe a little more than the Bali 250? Not sure. Even so, I sat in a smaller 125 cc sold at Pep Boys. A little small, but tolerable. Hopefully the room on this one will be a little better.
At any rate, I'm probably going with this bike, either from Valley or Scooterdynasty, depending on who can get a black model. I'll keep posting as stuff progresses, and blog on problems that arise.
