Well, the matching helmets finally came and I talked my wife into her first ride. She has not been on any thing with two wheels with me in almost 10 years. The scoot now has about 300km on it and has had all the fluids changed and is running great so off we went. We rode about 30 miles on some two lane winding back roads. She and the scoot did great. I am impressed with the power and the ride. We are not huge, but we are full sized older adults and just under the total max capacity for the scoot. It accelerated up hills nicely and handled very well. She still wants more padding on the back rest but said "it wasn't terrible". Believe me considering her resistance to the purchase in the first place, this is high praise! I will be working on mounting the motorcycle rack to the back of the motor-home next Friday and then we should be ready for our vacation over the fourth of July week. Will post some pictures of the rig when it's finished.

snorkeler, Welcome! I have about 300km on the scoot now and I have been very happy with it. I have posted several thread on the process from the beginning telling all of the good and bad. scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=1176775060scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=1178307399scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=1178828285and there are others. Just click on my name and it will take you to a screen where you can search all of the threads. I purchased the scoot from Evosales (http://evosales.com/) and they where very upfront about the whole process. They did what they said and it arrived undamaged and set up was pretty simple. There are a couple of issues that seem to be common; 1. The right hand mirror needs work to be usable. 2. The trunk needs some creative engineering to mount. Other than that, she started right up and has been running nicely ever since. I had test droved and viewed several Tanks at B & M dealer locally but they did not impress me and seem to be poorly assembled by both dealers. The one dealer was also asking full MSRP. I had looked at several Yamaha's (Morpheus and majesty) but did not want to spend that kind of money until I decided whether or not I liked the scooter world. My main use was to carry the scoot on a motor home when we are also pulling a small boat. This would give us a means of transportation to the marina, restaurants, etc. Still working on that project. Hope to have it completed this Friday. i will post pictures of the project when finished. All in all I think the I-Scooters are a good value but don't expect Japanese quality. If you are mechanically inclined and have some hand tools you can't go wrong for the price. I would also recommend you take a look at the Bandit 250 (http://bandit-motorsports.com/). It has a bigger engine and the dealer seams to be on top of his game. Good luck and welcome again! ;D
