I had a bad one. Checked the thermostat, fan switch, pump and temp guage by putting densor in boiling water, it read near half scale. Flushed and refilled the system and ran it and added a little. attached an aircraft CHT guage with the sensor clamped to the radiator inlet. After about three miles it went to 255f. That is almost the boiling point at 15psi. Lacking any other cure I attached a small radiator behind the front wheel as a precooler. I knew I had too much coolant, but, you use what you have. Now reads 195 to 220. Fan operates as it should. Used a baffle to guide the hot air off the gas tank. Will have to cover in the winter and can run in hot Texas summer without a problem. Bob (TX)
