Does anyone have any experience with Scootertronics Xpress 250? It is made by the same manufacturer as the Viva MP250RO. Does it have the same fuel pump problems and charging problems? store.scootertronics.com/ex25sc.html

Interesting that they say the engine is the CFMoto (Honda clone), but it has 13" wheels, which would indicate the engine is the Linhai clone. This body style typically has the Linhai engine, so I'm guessing that's what it actually is. I have a Road Runner Racer 250 that is based on this engine. It also has the 13" wheels, but is not using the Touring body, and has a shorter wheelbase. However, Road Runner claims 19 hp. Keep in mind that I haven't found many specs on any brand that are published with any sort of accuracy or method of verifying them. Stan; The CFMoto drive train that allows a 12" or 13" rear tire is now arriving, so it could be a CFMoto engine.

That particular scoot, branded as a Red Streak Expressway 250, is actually a Shanghai JMstar Nemo 250 (see the "Finding Nemo" thread). It's got the Helix-clone vertical engine configuration, and definitely has 13 inch wheels front and rear. there is nothing on the engine itself, that I could see, to indicate who manufactured it.

The Expressway 250 offered by scootertronics from Red Streak has the CF Moto engine 172MM as does the CF Moto V-5 has the 172MM-A. This info is stamped on the motors as with all motors that we have sold or ridden. Not sure why someone would say its a Linhai engine, if so it would not say 172MM right on the motor and from just looking at my V-5 and the Expressway they sure do look the same, the trans could be different but we will know that when I start to modify both the V-5 and Expressway. Its just to early to tell.
We have not experienced any problems with cooling or carb as we do with the Tank model we have been servicing which I still do not like the 10 inch wheel and have sold none and do not offer even though Tank is giving them away.
With what is going on with Viva and Roketa why would anyone trust what they have to say. Michael

Mike, thanks, my own lack of knowledge there, about the engine identification.
I keep going back there to look at the scoot, they're gonna start hating me. well maybe not. I DID buy a new helmet last time I went by ;-)

This scooter has been out there for a few months now, does anyone have any feedback on this scooter?
I purchased one, but want to know if anyone is running into the same problems I am?

I am having charging system problems. We were told by the delear that maybe it was a bad battery, so we replaced the battery. Still not fixed. Then we were told that the alarm system was a draw on the system, so we removed the alarm system, still not fixed. We took it to the dealer who replaced the stator and the voltage regulator, still not fixed!
The scooter works fine for abotu 3 riding hours or 6 starts after being put on the charger. Then it does not even turn over.
