Had another quick question out of curiosity. How long do (well maintained) 250cc scooters generally run? Or how many miles can you put on them? I'm curious as it sounds like it works similar (on a small scale) as a car engine... Is it comparable?

I put on over 20,000 miles on my Helix. Being water cooled helps with the long life. I have heard of Helixes with over 100,000 miles on them. Good maintenance can pay off.

I'm pretty anal about my car but still have to figure out good maintenance intervals for fluid changes etc. on the scooter. The user's manual is practically worthless...
