Hello fellow Dawgs! I did it. I bit the bullet and traded my Wildfire WF-150S (dub'ed "Exxon Valdeze" by the dealer) I am now the proud owner of a Kymco Xciting 250. Wow! Talk about night and day. It's like going from a Pinto to a Mustang GT. The only complaint I have is that the MPH is hard to read. I'll adapt. It's orange and it's sexy. I got something between my legs now. He he he he.

Local Kymco dealer keeps trying to get me to try a X 250 instead of the P 250. Hope that you enjoy it and we want to hear more about you impressions of your new scoot.

SurfBorg:
Apparently, I can not resist...resistance is indeed futile. The Borg known as Kymco has assimilated me...into a People 250. The X250 and X500 could only be bought special order, and the dealer only had like 3 Bet and Win 250 and 3 People 250 in stock, on the showroom floor...Lokutus would be proud!!!

Guys and Dolls,
I finally had a good day to ride on monday. I went out and about to get some things done. One thing I had to do was to buy a bottle of laundry soap for my wife. No problem I thought. I'll just store it under the seat. My wife said "You ain't gonna have room" I said "Phooey, you are mistaken" I did my wandering through good ol'e Wal-mart and purchased said laudry bottle and walked out to my bike. I fumbled for my keys and opened the seat. I placed the bottle of laundry soap inside and began to confidently close the seat. I say "began" because I coudn't complete the process. I attempted to find a better way to position the bottle to allow the seat to close. I failed. I stood there for a bit. Thinking. I figured I could bungee it to the passenger seat. That will work. I should say, that WOULD work, alas I did not have any bungees with me. I had to walk back to Wal-mart and get my money back. I had a pleasant ride back home. I walked home and said "Honey, I'm home!" Honestly I really did say that. My son ran up to me and said "Daddy! Daddy! Your Home! Your Home! I missed you!" His real words I woudn't lie to my fellow Dawgs. My wife then walked up and asked me where the laundry soap was. I looked her straight in the eye and responded "Oh, crap! I forgot all about it. I'm sorry."

Rotflmao!!! This is why I have chosen to have installed a nice sized top box to my X500.

How did you get that mounted? Most of the boxes I've seen for the Xciting's need to use a 100 buck bracket sold by Givi.

Mine is using the brackets that came with the binetto top box that I have (or so the dealer tells me). I can try to take a picture if you want.
