Oil Change help

Hi. I was changing the oil for the first time on my new scoot. It is a Baron 250-pm with the 244cc type engine.

I drained out the oil but thought that I was supposed to find a little spring like on this page <http://www.americinnwillmar.com/how_to_change_the_oil.htm>

But I didn't see one and then realised that the web-site is maybe the GY6 engine.

So anybody got any advice on the details of changing the oil on the 250cc engine that I have. Is there an oil filter or screen somewhere?

On that engine the filter screen is on the side right next to the oil filler hole.

Finished up the oil change and took it for a test ride. Seems to be running fine. Will change the gear oil tomorrow.
