I you navigate this website it seems that they switch from the Viva to a Tank or Tank Clone. The price seems ok, but I would verify which scoot is offered for sure before making a decision. Not familiar with that seller either.

I looked at the ebay site and the scootertronics site. They both look like the Viva I bought last week. I got it from a local dealer who picked it up from the distributor in CA. He prepped it and test rode it then changed the oil and spark plug before I picked it up. Unfortunately, I haven't rode it yet to tell you much about it. The Ebay price with shipping and insurance is 2,000 which is in line with the 1950 I paid. Here is the distributor web site. www.viva-motors.com/moped-250cc-roadster.htmlAJ

Does seem like an ok deal. Looked at two 2005 Reflex's today. Dealer wanted 4500 for an abs sport with 4700 miles and 4700 for an abs sport with 1900 miles. Also looked at a leftover 06 majesty for 5150. Wishin we had a local viva dealer to see up close... i'd take a shot for 1700 bucks! Might via the internet anyway:)

AJ, How is the fit and finish on your Viva? Please let me know about the performance,as I will need to make some short runs on the freeway. In the pix on the web, looks like the fit around the instrument cluster is unfinished. I have been saving for about a year for a scoot and my taste has changed from a 150 to a 250. The posts on the forums site are great! The comments have been very helpful in my decision. You guys are the greatest.

AJ, How is the fit and finish on your Viva? Please let me know about the performance,as I will need to make some short runs on the freeway. In the pix on the web, looks like the fit around the instrument cluster is unfinished. The instrument cluster looks good on mine. The "glove box door" sucks. It has a plastic latch in the middle and the key lock on the right side of the latch. If the key lock was not there the door would flop open at the first bump. Since the door goes full width and has the radio speakers mounded on (in) it, the fit is not superb. The rest of the Viva looks good. Let me say that it is from China, not Japan, and I didn't pay $4,000 or $5,000 for it. After reading this forum, I pretty well knew what to expect. Overall, the appearance has exceeded my expectations. I'm still waiting for the MCO, so I can get it on the street and see how it runs. I live 3 miles (by road) from a Four lane highway and 15 from the interstate, So I bought the 250 expecting to cruse at highway speeds. That shouldn't be a problem. My last bike was a 305 Yamaha and that had more than enough power to cruse the interstates. Not like my BSA Road Rocket, but adequate. My primary reasons for picking the Viva are the Thirteen inch wheels and the price. I am utility oriented, not aesthetics, so I look for performance and value. Appearance is secondary. The brand name doesn't matter to me. I look at engineering, quality and performance. Will it do what I want (economically) with a minimum of repair and expense! And, hopefully, be reliable. AJ

I bought this scooter off of ebay and I am very happy with it so far (about 150 miles on it). Its basically a copy of the Honda Reflex. I had no damage on my model and it didn't really have too much as far as setup goes (mirrors, windshield, and battery). I did adjust up the headlights a bit, and switched out the 3 dashlight bulbs with a larger wattage bulb( the needles were too hard to see in the dark). I have also ordered two larger wattage bulbs for the turn signal indicators (they are also hard to see during the day). Its not as nice as a honda (as far as fit and finish of the black plastics), but the painted plastics look great and it runs like a top. I ordered a taller winshield for a honda reflex. It should bolt right on, at least I hope it will. Ask away if you have any questions.

Hey Mickster, Do you have any pix yet? What color did you end with? I am really interested in the yellow. I did not see yellow on the ebay site , but the we page www.viva-motors.com/moped-250cc-roadster.html shows it available. I was just trying to get a look at one before I ordered it. I want it nice and bright.

No pix yet. Probably some time this weekend. It doesn't really look any different than whats on ebay and the website.
