Hi, Any info would be appreciated. Have gone on other sitesl, but replies made me feel - well, let's just say that scooter.bbs is insulting. I purchased a yamati cruiser 250cc from nd.powersports. I have had no trouble with them. Is a yamati the same as a strada and a vento in terms of manufacturer? I have been in touch with one person from Mo who love his yamati.
Mine is being delivered to a cycle shop who will assemble. If there is a problem, he will not accept deliver. Any advice or history with this.

scooter1; Welcome to the "Dawg Pound"! I, also, bought from NDPowersports. When I ordered, the ad said it was a Yamati. Between ordering and receiving the scoot, the ad changed to indicate a Roketa Bali 250. That was OK with me since I had previously owned a Roketa 50 & 150 scoot. For a few more months the ad read "Roketa Bali 250. Recently I noticed the change back to Yamati. Don't know what that is all about. The Tank/Roketa 250s have a CFMoto engine derived from the Honda 250. This engine has proven to be very reliable but has a 10" rear wheel/tire. The Yamati lists a larger wheel/tire which I believe will be slightly better for handling but uses a different engine/drive train which may be OK but has not been found in that many Chinese scoots this past year so there is not as much feedback as for the CFMoto engine/drive train. When you get it, please list the name of the manufacturer as found on the Federal I.D. plate and let us know what you think of the scoot.
I wouldn't count on much help from NDPowersports after the sale. They claim to have parts but couldn't get right what I needed and they really don't know much about their product. They don't stock the scooters, just pass on the order to the importer they are buying from at the minute. That is OK as long as you don't have any major problems and act as your own mechanic for assembly, safety checkout, trouble shooting and repairing. It worked out OK for me but could result in a real heartache for those not very mechanically knowledgeable and able.
Most of us here feel the same way about ScooterBBS. I cancelled my membership some time ago. While good folks & info. can sometimes be found there, it was not worth the insults and putdowns.
