I've got me a Tank Urban Touring 250 (CFMoto 172mm clone). What's happening is, if i'm going up a long hill (say 30 mph) and then decellerate for a red light, the bike suddenly dies. One time it made a backfire explosion before it died, but usually it just dies. The bike won't start again for at least 15 minutes. If i try to start it after 10 minutes, the engine sputters at low rpms for a second or two and then dies (before 10 minutes, there's no engine action at all). Any ideas what's going on??
I don't know if it's related, but the new exhaust clamp i put on this week loosens slightly when i ride, so it makes some small backfire noises when decellerating. I can't imagine that making the engine die like this, although it did start happening around the same time...
Thanks for any input, Jeff

It sounds like it may be overheating. If the exhaust clamp is leaking it could be running lean. Check the coolant. If it's the original stuff change it. Check the oil. Check for brake drag. Someone else may have other suggestions.
