Been looking for a bit bigger scoot (see Strada SS300 thread) , looking at ads for low mileage Majesty's and even looked at a 2007 at the local Yammy dealer. A bit much $, even with my Tank 250 in trade. Called a dealer 40 miles south of me to see if they had a leftover 06' in stock at a good year-end clearance price. Nope, all gone. BUT...they DID have a 2007 TRADE-IN with 250 miles on it for a LOT LESS than a new one. The previous owner of one month loved the scoot, but wanted MORE POWER, and traded for a Burgy 650. So...I hastened down there and it was just like new. The OTD price turned out to be 500 less than the other dealer would do, even with a trade in. I loaded it on the truck and brought it home, took it for a brief ride (kinda chilly here, about 50). Has a lot of get-up-and-go and a deep exhaust sound. Friday should be clear and 70 so I hope to go for a longer ride. Will report back to the Pound as to the overall driving impression. So ends the "hunt" for now. Will place a pic on the next post. And even though I will be frequenting the other site for owners of this specific scoot, I am not leaving the Dawg Pound. Lots of good info and helpful advice here. Will post the pic before the time to do so runs out. Still need to figure out the photo link procedure thingy. And please note: Just because I sprung for the bigger scoot, I in no way feel superior to ANY Dawg on ANY scooter. It truly is "All About The Ride", - NOT WHAT you are riding.
