Hi, I'm a newby here. Hope to get to know y'all a lot better. Here's my question: my DH just traded in his Buddy 125 on a Genuine Blur then on to a QLink Legacy 250. I read with great interest your review of the Pegasus (sp?) and was wondering if you've heard anything about the Legacy yet. I'm seriously thinking about trading my Buddy for one in the near future.

Is your friend happy with it?

So far my husband is very happy with it. Just seem to be having a small electrical problem though...the turn signals don't want to work. We brought it back to our dealer last week and got it back today. They worked for the first turn then stopped again. The break lights, head and taillight work just fine. Will have to call Atomic Brown in OKCity again when they open on Tuesday.
We were told today that they're coming out with one in Blue in '07.

The Blur just came out recently. Your husband must not have had it that long if he traded it in for the Q-Link Legacy. How did he like the Blur? No too much I guess if he traded it in after only a few months

Few months hell.....try 3 days!!! Here's how it went. I got my Pink Buddy 125 for our 27th Anniversary in June, he bought his Cream one about 3 weeks later. He drove it up until the 28th of Sept. after trying out the Blur on the freeway. He put his Buddy on consignment and waited for it to sell, which it finally did on Wed. Nov. 1st. He went to Atomic Brown Scooters that evening, picked up his new scoot and all was well...I thought. Friday evening he's telling me about this bike he saw when picking up the Blur and he asked what I thought(we can't say no to each other). So, Sat. morning he called the shop and asked if he could just do an even up trade, the Blur was like $400 more than the QLink but he figured with the added miles that he'd put on it was a even deal. They said alright. Basically he decided that the Blur was just not for him, more of a young guys bike not a 48 yr. old. I took it for a ride the other night and now I want to trade in my Buddy. I'm waiting for the 2007 model cuz I was told it's coming out in blue

Well at least your husband has the bike that he really wants now. I did something similar, although it was a little longer than 3 days. I purchased a Kymco People 250 and about 7 days later traded it in for the Kymco Xciting 250. I lost $500 on that one but in the end I got the scooter I really wanted and have been happy ever since. I hope your husband has good luck with the Legacy ;D

I've ridden both the Legacy (cruiser style) and the Sapero (sport style). From my rides on them I was highly impressed with both, though more by the Sapero than the Legacy. What really impressed me was their low speed maneuverability. These bikes can do circle 8's at low speed like no ones business. They appear to be exquisitely balanced with just the right amount of tranny power for maneuvering. Add to that the fact that for an automatic, they can get up and, ahem, scoot, and you have an unbeatable combination. And ok, I love the radio. I'm a gadget freak. What can I say? Bill PS: No I'm not a dealer trying to sell a bike. Just another fan. ;D

Don't be shy Bill. Tell them who you really are. Bill is Admin of a website/forum not unlike ours. www.alternativecruisers.com/They are all about the new cruisers and motorcycles that are invading from lands other than Japan.

Awww, I'm not shy, just following netiquette. ;D
I find the Chinese manufacturers to be fascinating. There are so many that it becomes tough for any one manufacturer to stand out. Some have been able to manage it, mostly through sheer bulk (i.e. Lifan, Qianjiang), but CFMoto made it through innovation and quality. And thats a rarity in China.
The only other manufacturer thats starting to make a break for the innovation department is Zongshen, but they've got quality issues to overcome before they get to the level of CFMoto. They're one to watch, but in my opinion, CFMoto is already there.
So back on topic:
dahuffy, I'm curious as to the broken blinkers. Did they get fixed yet, and if so was it a bad component or an assembly issue?

Not really sure what the trouble is yet. We're heading up to Minnesota for the holiday, so we dropped it off at the shop for the week. Hopefully they'll be able to figure it out during that time. It was the shop owner that looked into it and he admits that he doesn't know a whole lot about these bikes yet. Their mechanic should be able to figure it out...I hope.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully it's just something minor.

Sorry, haven't checked in for quite some time. Hope every body had a wonderful holiday. Now to hubbies "Blinker Problem" He got it fixed! Yes it was just a component that needed replacing. I'm in the process now of cleaning up my Pink Buddy and getting ready to consign into the shop, probably this week or next (weather permitting). I'm planning on ordering a Legacy in Silver.
