I seams that when I get cought in the rain the headlights actup. either no upper beams or no headlights. I supect the water is getting in the headlight switch,(when I press the passing position on the switch the uppers work). After a day or two in the sun the lights are fine. Can I waterproof it? add a spray of silicone?
Ideas?

Check your mirror connections. This is going to be the likely trouble spot. Stan I seams that when I get cought in the rain the headlights actup. either no upper beams or no headlights. Put di-electric grease in all of your connectors.
