I currently have a Tank 150 Touring and hate it. I've had a lot of problems with it. Recently I came across a CF Moto 250cc Fashion scooter and have been trying to find reviews about it. I'm not finding a lot of information about it. Can anyone offer an opinion? How's the mileage? How is the overall comfort? Is it reliable? How's the battery, any issues? I've had to replace 3 within 6 months on my Tank.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

The Fashion is a reflex /(helix) clone. Parts are available from Honda. The motor is a CFMOTO 172mm-a 244 cc 18 hp and has a good rating. Expect to replace the battery, add lock washers, and tighten a few bolts. It's one of the better Chinese manufacturers.
You can join the CFmoto group on Yahoo and somebody there could tell you more as several people have them.

pdibacco; Welcome to the "DawgPound". Read my thread on "Roketa Bali 250 has arrived ...." for information about scoots with the CFMoto 250 engine/drive train. Don't know if there are many of the CFMoto Fashions out there or how they compare to the Tank and Roketc, etc. 250 scoots in terms of quality and dependability. The engine and drive train seem to be solid but the other "brand" scoots have been plagued with numerous quality control and component failures. Most are minor and easily corrected if you have some mechanical knowledge and ability. There could be major problems, durability and safety-wise, if these deficiencies are not discovered and corrected on your scoot.
My Bali 250 has just over 1500 Kms on it and is running very well. I am pleased with it's performance and handling, especially for the price. I enjoy tinkering and am willing to accept the challenge of assembly, inspection, trouble-shooting and routine maintenance. Buying a 250 this year may be somewhat of a crap shoot. Next year I expect the major bugs will be worked out. I have seen 250cc scoots with the Tank Touring/Bali body style for less than $2K, delivered! Don't know if I could personally justify $3k for a Chinese Honda clone 250.

The clone label is thrown around very indiscriminately. The Fashion is a Helix clone not a Reflex clone. The Fashion looks like it was copied piece for piece from the Helix. It is almost half the price. A good setup seems to be key with any Chinese scooter.

Warstein,
I think Jacine meant the engine/drive train of the Fashion is a Reflex/Helix clone not the style of the scooter.

the engine and drives of the Reflex and Helix are different.

The belt is different than that of the helix, it uses a reflex cvt belt, the variator is also a different size than the helix. The fashion is actually a mix and match between the helix and reflex. Can't call it a helix clone, and can't call it a reflex clone. Somewhere in between. The main thing is that Honda has the parts.
The V3 variator will not fit the fashion, but a Malossi 2000 for the reflex will.

I was only going by pictures and the Helix and Fashion are so much alike. Even the dash is almost the same with the exception of the button which changes the display from miles to kilometers is missing on the Fashion. The various body pieces look the same. I don't know what belt is used and I don't know why they would use a different one. The short windshield and chrome handlebars are from the sport model. Even the foot brake is the same.

Probably enough mix and match that Honda can't come back and sue for infrigement. Some of the companies do that. Not sure what percent of the overall has to be different from any specific unit to prevent legal action. Yamoto was a 100% copy of Yamaha and fought the legal battle.

What about these questions from the original poster? Also, what speed will the Fashion cruise at all day comfortable? Thanks

I've had my Fashion VIP ( from Baron) since July. Put a bit over 2000 miles on it. So far I've been very impressed. Getting about 70-75mpg and have attained a top speed of 72mph with what felt like more to go. I did replace the small windshield with a Helix replacement I found at CeeBailey. That makes all the difference in the world!!! I've done only routine maintanence and....knock on wood...have had no problems. As for comfort...you'll be in awe. Deceidedly the most confort I've ever had on two wheels. Seat height is low, you can easily "flat foot" at stops, and seat comfort is unbelievable. Took a three hour round trip to Wheeling WV, in comfort and style, cruised at 60-65 without a burp. Did the same trip a year before on my old TN'G Milano 150 and thought my ass was gonna fall off

cookies you said you bought a Helix replacement windshield from CeeBailey but which one did you buy and did you have any problems installing it on the Fashion? I just got my Fashion and so far I love it but the windshield could be higher, I live in Florida and this time of year the love bugs are really bad where I live and the higher windshield would protect my face shield from getting splattered. The ride is very comfortable and I will be taking my motorcyle safety training course this weekend which should help keep me safe on the highways.

Thanks for all of the replies. I finally got rid of my Tank Touring 150. What a piece of junk! Anyway just put a down payment on a CF Moto Fashion 250cc. It was a demo from the dealership near my home. Got a great deal on it. Hope to pick it up next week.
