Went to the DMV with the sales slip from my online purchase, along with a form I downloaded and had the VIN verified by my neighbor (local sheriff's deputy) and succeeded in getting a temp tag good for 30 days. At least I can ride while waiting for MSO. The little Tank did fine. Went about 30 miles (I think) and it never registered over 1/3 hot at an air temp here of 88. I would like to know how fast I was going when the Chinometer said 60 in mph as stated on the face of gauge. Is there a conversion that will approximate speed on this scoot when you are doing, say, 30, 40 , 50, 60, etc. I do not have a gps. If I travel 10 miles as stated on the odometer, then do the same trip in my car, how do I figure what the accumulated miles on the scoot would be. Or, should just I do the service based on what is actually reading on the dials? Anyway, so far, so good. Now I will attack the alarm removal to end the battery discharge. Thanks for help! scooterdog

That's a very elegant scooter! There is no set discrepency for the speedometers find an on duty officer(your neighbor) with a radar and check that way or have someone pace you with a car or borrow a GPS.

The officer next door would LOVE to radar me, I'm sure. Good suggestion! He even hinted about driving it ! He has never scooted before! Myabe I'll have me a uniformed convert! (can you see it now?). From 10 feet this scoot looks as good as a real one :~) So far, I must say that for the money (aproximately half what a "known" brand would cost, I am pleased. The comments on this board about being willing to wrench a bit and be pro-active on maintenance surely ring true when dealing with these online-purchased, budget priced scooters. And overall, most problems so far CAN be addressed with patience and willingness to get in there and do it. (Of course, I have yet to disarm alarm or adjust headlights!). Good to have this bunch around as things go well or go south. scooterdog PS:sorry for posting twice, I hit back button and did not know how to delete one of them.

scooterdog; Your new scooter looks great! I really like the color. Makes it look rich. Glad to hear everything is OK so far.
