Anyone know what size the belt is on the Kymco Xciting 250 or the People 250? Is it 828-22-30?

Maybe measure it?? In the part number you gave, 828=length in mm, 22=width in mm, 30=angle between the belt sides in degrees.

I don't have one to measure. I am familiar with the numbers. I am trying to find out what size belt they take. All I can find on it is a part number in the Kymco parts manuals, no measurements.
What I am really trying to do is find a belt for my Viva 250cc. 828-22-30 and none of the info I can find on the net tells me anything about sizes, just part numbers and everyone has their own part number. Nothing to give me a clue.
I live in Taiwan and still can't find out as the dealers for Kymco have no idea what size it is, just a part number. They are not too excited about doing any research for me as I did not buy one of their scoots. Kinda sounds familiar, doesn't it. I even tried to get info on the Slider Weights with no luck. They don't know anything about them and they are made right here by a Taiwanese company. Go figure.
Stan at OregonVintage is the only one I have been able to find, but he has been backordered for quite a while.

That's a typical problem with most bikes. No one has a thread size or measurement, just a part number.

You would think the mechanic would just happen to notice the writing on the belt after putting a bunch on scoots and could remember the size. Not many mechanics left, just parts replacers.
Guess Kymco riders just don't do any work on their scoots, take it in to the dealer. That's what the scoot riders do here in Taiwan. That is probably why there is a scoot repair shop every hundred feet in every block.
I posted this on 2 other Kymco forums and no one has answered.
I sent out emails to suppliers of belts and no answer. Stan, I understand what you said about sourcing parts. Good Grief!

Have you tried getting the part from the dealer you purchased the scoot from?

I have a size chart that has 2 different barnds listed, but one shows a Kymco and doesn't say what model and the other lists the Kymco 250, but doesn't give the size. I would open the cover and look at the belt before it breaks to find out. When you find it, let me know and I'll list it in the part number section. Ok, here is what I am going to do. Maybe help out some other 250cc riders who need help finding a cvt belt.
I'm going to go buy a belt for a Kymco Xciting 250 and see if the size is on it or not. I have th e part number for it so the dealer shouldn't give me any hassle about getting it. At least I can measure it if need be.
If it's not the right size, well, I have a useless belt and we have the information.
Yep, that's what I'm gonna do.

Just go to the dealer and ask if you can see one. Also find out the price and brand if it says. I'd also be interested in how often they suggest replacing them. The dealers here have a supply house somewhere and they don't stock parts. They want the money upfront and then will hop on a scoot and go get the part. I don't speak Chinese or Taiwanese so I have a heck of a time with the communication. Most of the time I have to use a friend to translate and even then things get confused. I'll do what I can.

Stan Don't know about when they suggest replacement, but just saw a service manual that recommends the first inspection at 7000Km. Think they last that long?
