Hi Dawgs, I searched under spark plugs and found helpful info, but not specific as to the NGK (or other) spark plug that will fit Tank 250. It seems that many of the OE parts are going to be junk, so I am gathering some replacements in advance. (No pun intended). I found the Purolater equivalent for the fuel filter, have my oil ready as well as new coolant. But sure would appreciate knowing what plug type to ask for. Thanks in advance (oh, not again! ) scooterdog

scooterdog; You can get the standard NGK "CR7HSA" or the Iridium version of the NGK "DPR7EIX-9". You may already have the standard NGK from the factory. Many do now. Some folks feel the engines idles better w/the Iridium plug, others don't really see any difference.

Thanks, scooterollie, Will try to find plug tomorrow, just in case it is a cheap one from factory. I feel like waiting for this scooter to arrive, then opening up the box to see what I have bought for over 2 grand, is the mega equivalent (for those of us of modest means), of the proverbial "pig-in-a-poke". At any rate, as many here have voiced, this site gives new Dawgs and seasoned scooter owners a fine place to either vent our frustrations, or holler HELP when we just cannot figure these quirky conveyances out on our own. Many Thanks! scooterdog

NGK C7HSA is for 150cc scooters. You would want a D8EA, DP8EA, DPR8EA... or a -7 or -9 for your 244cc CF Moto'd Tank. Find the NGK D8EA...

My web site has a sheet listed as Part Numbers for Common Items where the part numbers are listed for both the 150 and 250 as well as other useful information. Stan Hi Dawgs, I searched under spark plugs and found helpful info, but not specific as to the NGK (or other) spark plug that will fit Tank 250. My mistake. The NGK "CR7HSA" is the plug that is listed in the manual that came with my Roketa 250. In response to scooterdog's question, I looked up the plug # in the manual that came w/my scoot, forgetting that they supplied the 150 manual so the information was incorrect. The plug that came with my scoot WAS the "DPR7EA" as indicated above and on Stan's website. Sorry about the confusion. The number I listed for the Iridium plug is correct.

Thanks again for all the input. I ordered a plug yesterday, and it came in today. Good thing it was the Iridium. Will remove stock plug when scoot arrives and see how generous the Tank people were! Also, for Stan, I overlooked that help section of oregonvintage.com. Will check it next time BEFORE I tie up the Dawgs with such a basic question. (Hear me yelping?). Anyway, scoot should be here some time tomorrow AM and will dissect and tighten and replace etc. Will post results shortly after. (Or before if I can't get the pieces to fit together!) scooterdog
