I have a V5 and have put 500miles on it. I cannot get it to go faster than 65mph - the dealer who sold it to me told me that he has driven other V5's and reached 75mph easily. He thinks it could be something with the CVT not releasing properly..... Any suggestions?

For one thing, yours isn't broken in yet so it's too early to panic. Also, you may want to double check your speedo accuracy with GPS or some other reliable method.

I won't panic just yet.... but I meant to say it won't go above 65mph on the speedo, so I am assuming the speedo actually shows you going faster than what you actually are going. i.e I am going real slow, lol.

It's a possibility that this is version 2 of the V5, a slower more sedate model, that allows you to cruise in luxury. LOL

Is this CF MOTO V5?
Just curious (as I am thinking of buying one) - is there any record on how long/well these bikes last?
I'd like to get a hint as to how many miles should I reasonably expect out of it before problems start to appear, etc.?
Thanks.

If you take care of it, the bike will last a as long as any other bike. Wearable parts have to be replaced as in any car. There is no set mileage or lifetime.
