Hey Jacine, YEAH, it worked!! Sweet bike ;D. I can't help but notice that Your's has the cfmoto logo, just forward of the v3 logo, on the gas tank. My v5, has no cfmoto markings anywhere on it at all. The reverse side of the removable panels do all have the cfmoto "stamp" in them, but no exterior markings. At close study of Your pic, The exhaust system looks identical to mine, which leads Me to believe that Your bike also may have a catalytic converter. The only way I knew Mine had one, was due to the large "warning" sticker, just above the muffler, saying something about the fact that "this vehicle is equipped with a catalytic converter", and I think there was some mention of excessive heat, and proper fuel octane. I don't really remember, I just peeled it off, and thru it out. Let Me get back, and finish this in 20 or 30 minutes...were about to get a violent storm..

There's an exhaust recirc just above the muffler. I read somwhere that disconnecting this and plugging the vacuum line added some hp. Will have to try it eventually.

Ok, I'm back now. I'm just a little paranoid right now. The last time they issued a severe thunderstorm warning for elkhart couty, We had wind gusts over 60 mph, and the damn lightning hit a tree about 200 ft from here. It scared the living Jesus out of Me!!. What I was going to say was that You also had mentioned the gas cap, not being vented. On My v5 if You look under the fuel tank, there is a vacuum line that leads directly from the tank filler neck to the charcoal canister. These bikes are c.a.r.b. approved, which means that no fuel vapors are allowed to "escape" into the atmosphere. The canister traps all the vapor, and the charcoal cleans it up, and releases it as "harmless gases", out the bottom of the canister. It's all operated from engine vacuum, and that would explain why there is such a maze of vacuum lines, to and from the carb. I also wanted to mention the fact that the v5, does not have a tape player (nowhere to put it), and also no am radio. It's just fm, and mp3. I'm not really complaining, since I don't any longer own any tapes, and I only listen to am for the ballgames. Since I can't ride the bike for now, I've been playing around with the radio, and I still can't get it to store any stations. My buddy messed around with it, when I first got the bike, and I think He wound up saving a bunch of "not good" stations on this thing. The arrows will run Me thru 6 different stations, but they all suck. How in the world, do I reset this thing?? Disconnect the battery?? I have some other questions for You too, (based on My first 18 mile ride, almost a month ago), but I'll hold off on those, until I get the new parts, and get back up and running. I e-mailed Lev earlier today, to ask about My parts, but so far, no reply. For now, ride safely Jacine, and reply when Ya get the time.

You should be able to reset the stations. With the FM radio on, press seek until you hit a station that you want then press the <<>> button to store the station. You may want to press << to the first station and start there.

Jacine, I just noticed one other thing looking at Your bike. Your right side mirror...Your lock nut is in place to hold the mirror down, but that big silver "sleeve" just above the nut, is intended to be turned downward, until it meets the nut. This helps to keep the nut locked in place, and it also eliminates that gap between the two. Then You just slide the rubber grommet down, until it stops. ;D

It definitely draws attention, the design is great, and I think I may have found an adjustable extension for the windshield to deflect some of the wind when riding.

Is it still a true scoot with an engine and muffler that moves up/down with the rear wheel??

Jacine, You can change the size of the photo at photobucket by editing the picture. Once you make it smaller you cannot make it bigger.

Jacine, if you resize the picture so it fits on the web page better, you can save the file as a different name and keep the large picture for your use elswhere.

Jacine, I really like the V3 and most of the other cfmoto products. Maybe I could find negative comments on that other BIG BBS but everybody I talk to (dealers included) are pretty jazzed about the line. How many miles do you have on it? I like your new sig too!

The bike is still young. Only around 200 miles, since I alternate between that and the Yami. It's been too hot for any long rides. The bike can do it, but I won't. LOL.
There's been very little in the way of problems with CFMOTO. It's just really knowing what can happen and take precautions to prevent it, like adding star or lock washers to all plastic tigntening areas, to diffuse the force and prevent cracking. The usual headaches are getting the sellers to honor their warranties. For the most part I just run to the Honda store.

Hello, I noticed what looks like small sadle bags on the V3 pictured here. Can someone tell me where I might find these and any other accessories this the V3 and V5. I am a new CFMOTO dealer in Green Bay WI and really like the products. However, I need to find some quality accessories to offer my customers. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I was at Baron HQ a few days ago and they have one (at least) of the new trunk boxes for the V3s. Looks big enough to carry anything you might need to take along. I just put a Laminar Lip (the one for the Honda Reflex) on the windshield of my Baron 250-PM Friday and went out for a few rides this weekend. The thing really cuts down on the wind buffeting and moves the airflow up over my helmet. They make them for just about any bike on the road. Might be worth a look to see if they have anything that would work on the V series. www.laminarlip.com/P.S. I too would like to know about your saddle bags, Jacine.
