Hi Folks - I am thinking about getting a scooter- first one! I am considering the Lance 250 from B&L - I saw the post they put on the boards and the prices are pretty decent. What I am asking is has anyone ever had any dealings with them - good or bad? And while I am at it - any major problems with Lance scooters?
Thanks!

Toledodawg, Welcome to the Dawg Pound! Can't tell you anything about that dealer but if you do a search here on Lance scoots, you will find a lot of info. Read up! I am certain Lance owners here will give you a heads up, also.

Well I dont know if they are legit or not this is what i do know. around christmas they were advertising tanks on the local craigslist I called and asked for their address so i could come look. I was told they were taking pre orders and didnt have the scooters yet. from then till last week no more postings on craigslist, last week a new posting with the lance line I called and got a machine in the middle of the work week. that night i found there post on here I went to their website and noticed no address listed I posted and stated such the reply was he would try to fix it last weekend, its tuesday now and still no address. this leads me to believe they are dropshiping these scooters that are sold by companys that "say" they only sell through B&M dealers. I live in portland and the only thing that divides portland from vancouver is a river in this area there are 7 B&M dealers not counting honda/yamaha these are scooter only dealers one of which sells some of the same line as B&L and thats ok but these dealers have paid for storefronts, biz licenses and dealer licenses it would be ok if they only sold on the internet but when you advertise on a local venue its hard to compete with the guy with 0 overhead. will you get your scooter probably. will you get service maybe. I just dont know if I would trust sending my money to someone with a cell phone and a computer and no biz address I sure wouldnt send my credit card info. I would deal with scooterfactory on this one. and who knows they may be legit and i will be the first to admit it if wrong. but when you advertise your self as a full service dealer and is not registered with the washington DMV as a motor vehicle dealer of any kind it makes you wonder.
PS I just am concerned because a I have been considering the lance milan as my next scoot and a local dealer with support was planning to take on the lance line and is now backing off so now I will be looking at other options i like the idea of a parts and labor warranty i can do the work myself but the idea of a local full service dealer was a big selling point

I havent heard much about B&L also. I would go with another dealer carrying Lance if you dont know much about them.
