Hi Guys, I am new and have been looking for a dealer in CY, MA, RI or Southern NY. I am looking for a touring type 150cc scoot. I have talked with John at Valley Scooters, who is very helpful, but he cannot sell to me because he is not a licensed dealer/repair shop in CT. He deals strictly with out of state customers. Does anyone know of a place I can purchase in my area? Right now I am looking at a Lance Duke Touring 150 from Scooter Factory but they are 3000 miles away. Any ideas? Thanks
Jon

Jjfischer; Welcome to the Dawg pound! Another dealer respected here is Scootertronics. They are located in the mid-Atlantic area, not as far from you as the other you refer to. They are a full service dealer and will, for a fee, thoroughly check out your new scoot before shipping it. They are also getting into scoot customization. Check out the details on their website. Their line has been improved to offer quality scoots. If you call them, ask for "Mike" and tell him that "Scooterollie" from Scoot Dawg recommended them. I have no connection with them other than through this forum. store.scootertronics.com/index.html

Jon you can go to the various manufacturers websites and look for a dealer locator. What is your budget? What do you think of the scooter at the top of the board? Fly Scooters has a dealer in Mass.
EZ Rider Motorsports 10 Easthampton Rd. Northampton, MA 01060 413-585-1010 They don't offer the classic "touring" style scoot though but I do like the Cadenza which is at the top of this forum in the banner. Figure out what you want and search for a dealer that way. Might work might not. Good luck!

Aaron, Thanks for the help, I will try them. I had a 1959 Vespa, many moons ago, that had a 50cc motor and a three speed shifter in the left hand grip. Rear brake pedal on the floor. Painted baby blue. Oh the fond memories. That is the reason I am now back in the market for a new scoot.
Thanks again, Jon

Guys, Thanks for your help and espically to John Dikov at Valley Scooters. John connected me with Dan Stagner at Minibikes plus in MI where I bought a Sports 150cc Tourning scoot (the same scoot as the Lance and Ricardo scoots.) Thanks go out to John. It arrived in excelent condition and fully assembled except fot the windshield and mirrors. And everything works!! I will start another topic on how it is working soon. Since it is still below freezing here I have only been on it once for less than a mile. Thanks again.
