Last Friday I ordered two scoots at a very low price. I received a confirmation call and quoited the price. Cool cant wait for the scoots. Today I got a call saying the price was wrong and if I wanted the scooters it would cost me an additional $400. So much for the confirmation last Friday. I said no thats not what I agreed too The price was posted on the website and the deal done. I was then told no the site did not say that it was not changed. I looked it was changed and was lied too. I challenged him and he told me if I wanted them I have to pay the higher price or he would cancel the order. I told him to I would not pay the higher price and he canceled the order. It gets better, after about an hour I get a call from this company telling me that that was not a very good scooter it cane in many parts and was packed in a two foot high box and I should choose two different ones (Bait and switch). I declined the offer and told him If a company lies to the customer before delivery and is caught what kind of service after delivery. Do not sent them cash at any time. I used my CC if they charged it action will follow with the law enforcement. The have shown themselves to be untrustworthy.

I don't know how that hassle occurred, but my own experience with Scooter Depot has shown them to be an upstanding company that backs up what they say. Amy helped me thru the order process (I paid via money order) and the scooter arrived on time and in perfect shape. I recently developed a problem with a warped disc up front (I think; gotta go do a more thorough inspection, in a minute) and I sent an email to Scooter Depot. Just in case I had to buy parts. That night, I got a phone call from their mechanic! He was most helpful (although his English is a little rocky.) And he said if I needed a new rotor, new ones were only $45. He also suggested other things to look for, first. Now, that's service!

Well after much to do, I finally was able to talk to them got a fair price and ordered the scoots. I was promised a cal back with a tracking number... never received one After 3 calls on three weekday I finally got an answer today that they were shipped and a telephone number of the trucking company. I phoned the trucking company to verify that they were shipped and found out that not only were they shipped they were out for delivery to my house. So much for the 24 hour delivery notice. I raced home to find the truck there. The trucking did not get my phone number to call ahead and was taking a chance I was home. The scoots arrived in good condition with no visible damage. Moral of story when dealing with this company be ready to follow-up do not assume that they will do what they say. next time I will go with valley scooters,

Forgive my intrusion to this conversation, but, in all fairness...
Is it possible that you could change the title of this posting to... "My experience with _______.us"
It seems that there was obviously an issue with the website, not being updated properly, as happens in many situations. (Though, they should have honored the price, that is still unclear. Did you get the two original scooters that you paid for? Or the two that you purchased were another set of chosen scooters?)
Also, "They", did not charge you for the scooters... "You", charged your card to them, for the scooters. The website is a POS (Point of sale) device. You sat at the register, and entered your information for the sale. Sales are instant. Refunds take time. (You can't get a refund, if you have not been charged.)
So, you paid for two scooters, were charged for two scooters, and were delivered two functional scooters... (Though it was not a smooth transaction, due to a "HTML" or web-update advertisement issue. Thus, it could not have been possible for a smooth transaction, due to the nature of the purchase, which was obviously changed by hand. Not handled through the automated process.)
I just want to be clear of the facts, so others are not wrongfully making an improper decision, to purchase from a company that has a rather small number of documented complaints.
Once again, not that I am defending them... But I sense a little customer hostility directed here, as a rant, as opposed to a documented experience of, "Why we should watch-out for ______.us"
Thank-you, Jason D.
P.S. You might want to change the icon for the thread also... You made a purchase, ran into trouble, and the trouble was resolved... That would be a thumbs up, for customer service. Most places don't even answer customers.
