Ok It took me some time to figure out how I would write this in such a way where I did not put down this business, but at the same time let people know what I went through with them. So here we go.
After deciding what scoot I wanted I started looking for a local scoot shop that could get it for me. After seeing ads for Broadway Station Scooters (Now Scooter ATV Warehouse) I decided to head over and talk to them. My Original Choice was a Tank TR-16 And they where a Tank Dealer.
I went to their Broadway location in the Beginning of November 07. After talking to John he informed me that this would be the First tank they have purchased. He called them up and they said no problem, the could have it at their shop by the end of the week or early the following week. I said great and paid them for the scooter.
So now I just have to wait for the call. Well Friday comes along and I call John. John tells me he is going to give them a call and see whats up. He calls me back and says it got held up a bit but it will be here by Wed. Once again I say no problem. Well Here comes Wed of the next week, and another problem. Now it has not shipped yet. But it will go out today. And me getting a little mad by now once again say ok .
Well Then I contact them at the end of the week, and John tells me let me get the tracking info so I can see where is it. Gets back with me and says well I tracked it and its will be here in a few days. Mind you now this is 2 weeks after I have purchased it (and it was suppose to be here in 5 days. )
Well the next week come along and there is more problems. Its still not here. This time John (or someone there) had them holding it because they were moving to their new location( and a new company name) So after 3 weeks I have 1300 less in the bank and no scoot in my driveway. Finally they talk me into getting the SunL I currently have, and after another week It arrives at their new shop. The Crate was all smashed and the scooter had plastic damage.
This was Dec 4, a full month after I paid. They accepted the scooter, Said the called SunL and the replacement plastic will be here in about 2 weeks (3 weeks ago and have not got a call) They also are taking care of getting my Tag. This was going to take a few days for the owner to get the the tag office (Also 3 weeks ago) Temp tag expires 1/4/08 . They were also ordering some trunk boxes and would let me know when they got there (3 weeks ago)
So right now I am still driving on the temp tag, have broken plastic, and no trunk box.
During the past few weeks I have called, and emailed and they are always working on it, and of course are going crazy because of the holidays. But I am at a point now where I have gone above and beyond what I consumer should have to.
So I am going to have to say that if you are in the market for a scoot, or parts, and are in the Orlando Area, it might be a good idea to find other scoot shops in the area before you work with these guys. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, nice guys, and everything else, but nobody should have to wait like this.
I can understand the holidays, and the fact that the have tons of new business coming in, but at the same time neglecting your current customers is not a good thing. To this day They never told me what happened with Tank. My guess is they had a minimum order, and they where not willing to ship just one scoot to them. And the Shop did not want to order more then mine.
I cant say if any other local scoot shops are any better but if you are in Orlando there are Hot Ride On E. Colonial and Nordons on S. OBT that you could give a try.
Sorry for the long post, but I had a lot to say
