I purchased a strada rx50 from Scootertronics. I want you all to know that this was an awesome experience. Mike Milstead went went above and beyond what was expected for me. I bought a lot of upgrades. 70cc kit, 21mm carb, dual tip pipe, variator kit(polini) Intake manifold/reed kit, and big carbon fiber look filter kit. There were a couple of parts that didn't fit and it was taken care of no questions asked. I got my scooter within a couple of days after buying it. The parts are all of good quality. If you are looking to buy a scooter. Scootertronics is where you go. By the way, stock scooter went 48 mph. I haven't gooten to the 70 cc kit or really any of the other parts yet. Overall an awesome platform to start with. Once it hit 30 I thought well that will probably be it. Then all of a sudden its like the engine really got on the pipe and pulled all the way to 48mph. I couldn't believe that it was a stock scooter.

Is that 48mph or 48kph? Normally top speed is usually on 50cc scoots is about 30mph. My metric calculator says 48 kilometers per hour is 30mph.

30 MPH tops on a 50cc? My Stock 2005 E-Ton Beamer hits 45 MPH (tested by a GPS)

;D Well if someone was to ask, what was the legal top speed of a 50cc scooter, it would be 50kph, but there are some who believe that is too slow. Somehow, a higher speed can be attained by modifications. The question was because the usual stock 50cc is rated around 30mph or 50kph. If any higher, IMO something was adjusted or changed.

Some 50cc scooters are limited to 30 mph so they can be licensed as mopeds. Others are not limited and are not supposed to be licensed as mopeds.
