I have seen the post before but can't find it. Is there any advantage in replacing the C.D.I.,and Coil with DR or MRP parts, performance wise ?.. 125cc

No obvious noticeable difference in performance. But the racing CDI's have a different advance curve, so you may have to readjust your engine idle speed. Sometimes the cold idle (after the enrichener disengages) versus hot idle is tough to get a good compromise going.

Yes, earlwb is right. Answer to the original question about noticeable performance if you replace the CDI and Coil with MRP or upgraded parts vs. OEM. I had the itch so I did replace the parts and an Iridium plug. I got the parts at a good price from Blade Motorsports, especially the NGK Iridium plug for $7.98. So if there is a difference it may be my imagination i.e. you polish your car and it runs so much better . I did have to turn the idle down after warm up. I think I credit that to the plug because I put an Iridium plug in my 77 Yamaha XS360 and had to turn the idle down on it also. Tinkering is half the fun .
