You have to see pt 1 of this mod which is to remove the end cap and cut off the pigtail. I took a 3/4" drill and drilled into the pipe until the welds broke thru. You can use a 1" drill bit and do the same. After the back welds are loose wiggle the short pipe and break it free. Then fish it out.The 1" hole helps for this.See pic: photo.livevideo.com/photo/E65B5E36EA89441D8B28939636BF0A09/exhaust-mod.aspxNow button up the end cap.Your done.As far as sound see the vid: www.livevideo.com/video/9EBB10D4FA3547A6B817AA65EEE91AB2/modding-the-stock-muffler.aspxIts really not that loud as in the vid. My take on this mod.Easy to do.You need a drill or a grinder. The final hole I drilled was 1" dia. Performance was impressive. Not as good as my custom, but way better then stock. I still have stock main jet and air box. For 0 to 40 mph, I get 9-10 seconds custom,11 secs. modded stock and 12-13 secs totally stock muffler.Definate improvement. On the uphill wot speed test: custom 52mph, modded 50mph this was really good, stock 45mph. Low and mid range really good.Top end is better but the extra restriction slows it down relative to my custom.Beats total stock a lot.Cost real cheap.Sound still really quiet.

Thanks, I might be doing this to mine...for now I only cut out the rear turn down and drilled four small holes in the rear, covered by the chrome tail piece.
