I went on a group scooter ride and this has got to be one of the best ways to film it all. You can even get some really awesome looking angles. This bendy thing called a Gorilla Pod allows you to wrap your camera around different bars and stuff on your scooter. It's also of course good for general photography. The cheapest I've seen this for is around $25. You can find it online or at Best Buy or something.

I used a mini-spy camera duct taped to my bicycle helmet, which fed a Archos Pocket Video Recorder (a really small video player and recorder unit. The same thing would work on a scooter too. The only real problem is the wind noise off the microphone tends to be deafening so you need to replace the wind noise with background music or something.

I used a camcorder mounted behind the front "vent" on my scoot. Covered the microphone with masking tape, worked pretty well. I'd already posted this in another thread, but here's the vid for reference. youtube.com/watch?v=wEFuBf5kysw

Hey pretty cool video, that vento can really run good. How much did you pay the guy to drive his PU slow so you could pass him? humor intended...
