I don't know how many of you actually bought the official ScootDawg GY6 user's manual, but when I was starting out with this stuff, I figured its good to have.
I had read alot about people changing various stock hoses and fluids, and figured I could use a guide to help point me in the right direction.
I'll be honest, it was helpful for changing the fluids and for basic operation, but I was looking for something that explained a little bit more. For example, someone suggested that a particular problem I'm having may be due to a flimsy rubber intake tube. Or another question I had, someone suggested checking the air filter oil overflow tube. Now, until I poked around and asked a LOT of questions, I didn't know exactly where these were located. This is the kind of stuff I'd like to find in a manual, a basic diagram of how stuff works would be helpful. It doesn't have to be detailed, but I feel like it is sorely missing, especially for something people pay good money for (I bought a 100 page technical manual for my car for about the same price!).

Here is a PDF file with blow up diagrams of many parts. It's of a UM Matrix, and some things may be different, but when I've needed to see how things are put together, parts placements and everything I've wanted to find has always been the same as on my scooter. I wouldn't necessarily trust using those parts numbers to order things like electical parts(staors and such), but assembly and major parts all look the same as on my Strada 150TE. nsbscooters.com/partlookup/lookparts.php?pdf_file=matrix150.pdf

Dawg never claimed that his manual was a guide to major repairs ( chiltons ) He states very clearly that this is the manual that should have been issued when you bought the scoot IE how to change the oil tune the carb etc. I have the manual and found it to be very helpful! Now I would like to see a collective effort come out of the Dawg Pound in the form of a video series with everything from Changing your belt ( sussex ) to rejetting your carbs and so on I think if you put the brains on the forum together you could have one VERY compltete series that would be well worth any price.
