hi all just a reminder to check the bolts on ya pipes. i found out that i am missing two of the allen bolts that hold the can to the header pipe. loctite works wonders.

Amen to that! Even with lock-washers, checked today and found a bit of looseness in the 2 - 12mm exhaust nuts. A word to the wise...Loctite!

i use jb weld it works pretty good too but seems to break down from the heat after a while i think the temp range is max 300 degrees farenheight.

Blue loctite is normal.Red is permanent,but brakes down above 450 * F which your exhaust will surely reach.

Not a bad idea to pick up a few extra exhaust nuts. Beats trying to find the nearest hardware store with no exhaust, incase the loctite doesn't do it's job, or you forget to check them.

You can get 6mm or 8mm coupling huts at ACe hardware. A coupling nut is sort of an extra long deep threaded nut. In 6mm size there is only the one threadsize so you don't have to woryy about multiple thread pitches. Well it isn';t the studs per se, but the nuts that come loose. using a Oval gasket instead of the chinzy round copper gasket works a lot better ans the round gasket compresses and allows the flange to loosen up and or bend on the ends.
