Went for a nice ride today and wanted to try something I had read a long while back on the subject of throttle locks/cruise on bikes. I have used the known brands and modified them to fit various rides. But I remembered a post from a biker several years ago who tried this and it worked for him, so I said to myself "self, why not try it. If it works, good, if not, you are not out much". You take a fat O-ring (like the type you get from the garden center for your lawn hose). Then you pull it over the end of your throttle grip into the gap between grip and plastic housing. The slight interference to turning allows you to rest or lower your hand a moment without the throttle returning to idle position. (Good for me since my hand gets numb after 5 or 6 miles). Just remember that while it is on you will NOT have auto-return of throttle. Use this tip if you want to at your own risk. It sure made a difference for me on my ride today. The grip on the Tank has a wider rubber close to the plastic housing so I cut the O-ring first then pushed it into the gap.(Stayed in just fine.) Easy to put in instead of stretching it and it comes right out with a thin screwdriver. Good Cruisin' scooterdog
