I am looking to get an a9 cam shaft in the future. I have been watching e-bay. All the sites I go to sell proformace kits. All I want is the cam shaft.
Thanks Brian

Brian read (Finaly found the right combination) in this section(Tips andTricks) by limeracer. He has an A9 camshaft and where he got it. Also StanJessup can probably help you at www.oregonvintage.com Aaron

I have ordered the A9's several times only to have them zeroed on every order. I was able to get the V150 cam, which is slightly "hotter" than the A9 and I'm told it is the most popular of the performance cams. I have a couple on order for stock, and hopefully they will be here next week. I have not yet installed this cam, but the quality, fit and finish are very nice.
The problem with ordering from MRP is that they have no means of stock confirmation, so when I order a batch of parts, I have no idea what will actually arrive until the package shows up. They don't hold backorders, so they simply zero the item(s) on the order. That's why I show MRP items as B/O on my site when I run out of them, and I disable the order button until I know the part is in stock. This may be why you have had trouble finding an A9 cam.
PFS sends me a shipping confirmation on each order, so I know what will arrive and when. So, when I receive the confirmation, I change the status to the arrival date and activate the order button because I know they will arrive. They also hold backorders, so when the items are in stock again, they ship them with my next order.
In general, MRP's quality is very good, but the order system isn't so good. For that reason, I don't list new items until I actually have them. In most cases, I buy one of an item to examine and test first. If it looks good and works well, I buy more for stock.
PFS makes an oil cooler that I have had some inquiries about, but I didn't have much interest in testing it myself. One of the group members was interested in it, so I shipped one to him for tesing and review. When he is finished, he'll write up the review and it should be posted on Scootdawg's site as well as mine. I like the idea of reviews so that people can get an idea whether the part is worth spending the money on, or if it's just another gimmick item. Hope that helps. Stan
