I've been thinking about getting a helmet camera for about a year now (before I started riding a scooter - for my pushbike helmet). This was mainly to cover myself in case I got cleaned up by any of the many idiots who 'drive' on the road. There are many stories from people about how these cameras prove to be invaluable in any sort of dispute with vehicle collisions, especially as bicycles come off second-best in almost any sort of incident. Since I got my scooter, the problem has become more acute. Scooters can go much faster than bicycles (especially where I live in a very hilly area) and ride with cars rather than alongside them in bicycle lanes. I just want a helmet camera as a safeguard against these sorts of situations. Given all of the above, I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for helmet cameras? I only have a few requirements: - interchangable between a motorcycle full face helmet and a bicycle helmet;
- weatherproof;
- relatively cheap; and
- small.
I don't care about quality/sound much as I want it just as a safeguard (I'm not going to be making movies out of the footage ). I've had a look at these ( www.teds.com.au/digital-video-cameras/helmet-cameras) and some seem to fit the bill, but I'm not sure about people's experiences with them. Thanks

They all look great Thanks! Do you know if they are also compatible with bicycle helmets as well, or does that depend more on the mount?

I got an Emerson Action Cam at Big Lots for $40. It's about the same size as the GoPro, and has a waterproof case and helmet mount. The helmet mount for this cam is designed for a bicycle helmet. I put some velcro on it to mount it to my scooter helmet.
