I have 150cc gas scooter and the battery is just short of 12v. It's been sitting in my garage for a few weeks and I haven't started it in awhile. I tried starting it yesterday but it wouldn't go. It would turn over but it just makes the click sound. Anyone know where I can charge the battery?

Autozone charges batteries for free but i recommend getting yourself a battery tender from pepboys usually about $40.00 but worth it. or you can get it online or on ebay if you dont have a pepboys around. Its fully automatic so you can plug it in and forget about it. unlike others that if you forget it you will fry the battery.

Okay thanks! Also I just notice the acid is leaking from the battery… do you know what's causing that?

Sounds like one of the cells of the battery froze and cracked the case.

Yep, take it out before it burns your wiring. Lefty agreed! Remove it and take to autzone to recycle it. they take it for free. If your looking for a new battery www.partsforscooters.com has some great ones. I prefer this one partsforscooters.com/Battery-12V-7AH-104-4Only thing that changes is the battery terminals which you can easily make adapters or just put new terminals in. otherwise this one should be the same one you have and this one is factory activated so no need to add acid or anything. partsforscooters.com/104-43-Battery

Okay so the battery is no good? yup. If you got acid coming out then its basically damaged. It can leak all over your scooter and melt your wiring. ruin your plastics and frame.
