After having a childhood obsession with scooters, and years of waffling back n forth to get one as an adult, Sunday I made it happen. I am a Suzuki Burgman 400 owner! I mentioned in a previous post that I found a guy on Craigslist selling his. And to add icing on an already sweet deal...he threw in (at no extra charge) the extended warranty that last until 2015! So if anybody would like to add some input on what they can't ride with or without please feel free. I need to take in as much input as possible. Attachments:

Beautiful. I don't know why I didn't get into scoots sooner. I can't wait to get a nice big one like yours, I bet it's like riding an armchair.
Congrats bud.

Congratulations! Beautiful machine. Just be sure to take it slow as the 400cc Burgman is an awful lot of bike to be handling for the first time.

I'm glad for you! Great machine from what I understand. I have a SYM RV-250 that I love, but wouldn't mind upgrading to something like that! Have fun and be safe.

Lovely, and congradulations! Nothing like a new machine to enjoy!
If this is your first scoot, I'd have to warn you, that the bug will hit you! Make sure you have a motorcycle endorsement done, before going on the street with it!

I live in a rural area with only one decent-size town around. When I'm in the decent-size town, I see lots of 50 cc scooters, but that's all. I've seen a couple of Majestys around out on the highway, but that's the only 250+ scooters I've ever seen out on the road.
At dealerships, I've seen several: Majestys, Kymco Peoples, BV500s, MP3s, and a T-max. But when I saw a Burgman 400 at a local dealership, I was blown away by its looks and functionality. The one I saw at a dealership was blue and was absolutely beautiful, but your new wine-colored Burgman is even prettier than the blue one.
I love my BV350. I never saw one before making a purchase, but I had seen a BV500, so I had enough of an idea of its styling, and it was being touted by all the Piaggio/Vespa salespeople, so I purchased one w/o ever seeing it just so I could reserve one. Although I don't regret purchasing the BV, because it's everything its promised to be, I still envy you, because I think the Burgman 400 is my dream bike. But now, after seeing a picture of yours, my dream scooter has changed colors.
The only scooters I've not seen but would like to see is a Sym CityCom 300i and a Scarabeo and Sport City 250.
