The solid feel of a well built scooter is hard to explain if you have not ridden one.
Enjoy but stay safe!

The original title of the Yamaha theme song was "Silver bird" by Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and the Raiders fame.

Congratulations, it is wonderful to have a well designed, well manufactured scooter. I never did get my SunL 250 scooter to be reliable and my wife said to get an expensive scooter. She was tired of hitching up the trailer and coming to get me -- sometimes a 100+ mile round trip.
I got a new old stock 2009 Yamaha TMAX at the end of August and managed to put 3000 miles on it before the weather closed in on me. It is great to go on a day trip from Akron, OH to Marietta, OH and back and be confident it will get me home. I am slowly going nuts. Riding weather won't return for another one to three months, depending on the weather gods moods.
I have only one issue with it. After five years on low power scooters I have real trouble keeping it under 85-90 MPH on the rural low traffic sections of the Interstate highways, and keeping it under 75-80 MPH when riding two up. I hope to get this under control before long --hopefully before I have a chat with a policeman on the roadside.

Gets up to 70/80 more quickly than you care to think and then continues on past 90. Curvey roads are much more fun on a Sport Scooter.
