I'm running a stock 2011 Taotao ATM50-A1 and I want to find out what kind of engine its using, along with a potential blueprint of the engine for mechanical purposes that will come to fruitation in March. Any ideas and/or help on this?

more info when you remove the seat bucket. You'll see all tags on the engine there.

Its a 1P39QMB engine Congratulations, that puts you with the majority of the 50cc scooters from China, it is also called a GY6, they come in 50cc, 125cc and 150cc versions. The 125 and 150 are a bit different than the 49/50cc motor is. You will find a lot of after market things available for your scooter.

More info on the 125cc please?? Why do we see so little of them on scooters? They are usually sent to countries other than the USA. They are just a little smaller bore than the 150 is. If you go to a English scooter forum you'll see a lot mentioned there about them.
