Was ordering from this one website then started reading reviews. Now I'm not sure which website to order from lol. parts for scooters doesn't have what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an aftermarket cdi for a gy6 139qmb. Also which one in opinion is the best? first time buyer.

no not yet im getting the rev limiter out before i do though. im planning on the 80cc big bore kit with a performance cam down the road and port job to the head.First im getting the coil with the cdi and air cleaner. Second going to rejet the carb. then an upgraded exhaust.

CDI is often money wasted . Your best option is to replace the carb with one you can adjust instead of being sealed and lighter roller weights . Most are not rev limited and even with many mods only be able to hit so many useful RPMs as too light of weights it will over rev and drop the power curve Scrappydog has some goodies www.scrappydogscooters.com/139QMB_50cc_Performance.htmlIf you really want a faster small scooter then a 2T is the best option as mine is a screaming demon

2T means 2 stroke just like 4T is 4 stroke . Remove and weigh your weights as they are not always the same amount and will vary . By far Dr Pulley sliders are way better than round rollers . Jetting will have variables like altitude and climate so what works for one may not for another and will require trial and error to fine tune it

My vote. None. You don't need performance parts. You need to realize that you are not able to out engineer the factory. If after you have been active on this site 6 months you might be ready to risk more money trying to make a 50ccd 4 stroker run like a 80cc 2 stroker. More likly you will decide you are better off getting a 150 or bigger) with Fuel injection.
Put simply few modern 150cc engines with an automatic clutch and a snowmobile drive system can keep up with the 90CC Hondas of the 60's. Even after you spend most of $500 in parts and machine shop fees and lots of talent and igh hours.
Be smart. Save you money for now.
Lefty2 I bought a scoot today for well under $1000 that is capable of running well over 80MPH (according to my Mercury speedo) and really keeping up with itnerstate traffic. Course I have a motorcyle endorsement and good protecive gear.

o well all machinist cost are free i work in a machine shop and build engines for drag cars and anything you can think of air boats and a lot more things but i understand mine is a little slow like goes 35 a need it to go 40 or above so just trying to do a couple things to it and we want to see what our skills can give us so was just asking advice on what to put in a smaller engine to make more torque/ horsepower we usually work on v8s lol big difference

If you have free access to a machine shop then get a a 2T minarelli and bore out the case to fit a 90cc or bigger piston and crank and smoke past those on a 150 with a smile on your face

No its not but you might find a used project 2T scooter out there as the supply of new ones is scarce here is a list of some like my Jonway Magnum which has 13 inch wheels a dual disc brakes which is very rare on a 50 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/2765

scrappydogscooters.com has quality parts for a great price, I had all ebay stuff on my scoot before and then bought scrappy's parts the 52mm big bore kit is a monster. And they answer the phone every time i call, and the will help you choose the right part if your unsure of what to get. As far as performance the big bore kit has been the best performance upgrade iv'e done hands down, and its not as hard to install as you may think.
