Hey guys I'm currently working on a design project with a respected electric motorsport company (company classified) where me and few members will be designing their next model. I need some feedback from you experienced users. I have a user survey that will ask qualitative and quantitative questions Feedback is greatly appreciated guys thanks! What is your age? What city do you live in? Model of scooter? How long have you been riding scooters? 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) -The amount of practical use of your scooter? -How much do you care about the speed of a scooter? -How much do you care about the aesthetics of a scooter? -How much do you care about the safety of a scooter? Please prioritize these attributes from most prioritized to least prioritized: Aesthetics, safety, speed, gas mileage

33 Miami TAOTAO ATM50-A1, and EVO150 2 years
1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) -The amount of practical use of your scooter? 5 -How much do you care about the speed of a scooter? 4 -How much do you care about the aesthetics of a scooter? 5 -How much do you care about the safety of a scooter? 4
Please prioritize these attributes from most prioritized to least prioritized:
Aesthetics, gas mileage, speed, safety,
One thing though, on an electric scooter gas mileage makes little difference. What will be your main struggle, is the cost of replacing Li batteries. Most are not ready to fork out 50% of their scooter every 3-4 years.

Unfortunately the company in this stage of the process won't release too much information about their battery technology. Since I'm designing the aesthetics I have little say about their battery.

I am 74 Live in Milwaukee, WI Been riding for 58 years I have 3 Burgman 400 Morphous 250 Xtreme XM5000Li
When I purchased my electric my main reason was lack of maintenance. Practicality and enough speed to keep up with traffic were also very important requirements. Aesthetics while important in the purchasing decision was less so in this case and ranked higher in the choice of my other scooters.

50 Eustis, Fl Honda pcx150 Riding scooters for 3 years 5 4 3 5 On large bikes where reaching speed is not an issue aesthetics become more important comparatively. On scooters that frequently are run at close to top speed to keep up with traffic speed is very important.not that they have to go really fast, but they do need to reach the speeds that allow you to travel safely on local roads.in the area I Live now that is cruising at 55. At my old house I would have gotten a 50cc but it would be important that it cruise at 40. So speed is important, but how much is relevant to roads traveled, and intertwined with the safety issue. So, gas mileage, speed/safety, aesthetics. Ramble ramble ramble

I have always felt their should be three classes of scooter First one should cruis at 40 with the ability to go 45 for short periods. The city bike. Second needs to cruis at 55 with short periods at 60. The suburb/rural bike. Third should cruise at 65 with bursts to 75. The Freeway bike. Maybe it's just me but it seems like alot of Chinese bikes are 5mph too slow for US roads.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like alot of Chinese bikes are 5mph too slow for US roads. I agree with this mostly. I also think that anything non freeway related when it comes to scooters, should fall under your general drivers license and not a motorcycle endorsement(50cc should still not require anything). The slow part, I dont think is the chinese bikes fault, I think its the stupid regulations that the US states put on the 50cc and under bikes. Oh and let me answer the questions as well: 45 Charlotte NC 2012 tao tao 50cc Starting on 2nd year (did ride motorcyles a little bit when I was very young) 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) -The amount of practical use of your scooter? 5 -How much do you care about the speed of a scooter? 5 (It should be able to keep up with traffic) -How much do you care about the aesthetics of a scooter? 5 -How much do you care about the safety of a scooter? 3 Aesthetics, , speed, safety, gas mileage Like others, its not my main source of transportation.

I think the electric scoot should come in 40, and 60MPH. No freeway rides on an electric. Either the battery becomes insanely huge, or the range is severely limited.
