So I've got an'08 tao tao 150 that's running horribly loss of power bogging and back firing it acts like its running rich but it's been jetted to this altitude and ran great for a long then it just started going down from there it only has 4,000 miles on it I don't understand I pulled the carb and it was all clean, I adjusted the valves and there was a little improvement but not much if anybody any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

ran great for a long then it just started going down Have you inspected intake manifold and insulator spacer for cracks, verified carb slide-needle assembly is rising properly, verified cylinder compression PSI, and tested stator coil and trigger pickup volts? CDI and ignition coil replacement is relatively inexpensive.

I figured it out! There was a hole in the intake hose from the filter to the carb. It is fixed and runs fantastic. I never would have found it if I hadn't checked the carb for proper functionality. Thank you all for your advice.
