Wow! I got my first scoot about 2 years ago and this was the best place in the world to figure out how to work on it. With the help of lefty and sprocket, I got the ol bag I crap up and running...dare I say well. It was about that time when Greg (Mainelyscooters) was thinking about opening a rental business. I couldn't get enough of this place, after I found out how to maintain my own junk, I tried to be helpful to anyone else having problems. I think that's pretty much what the site is designed for.
Then, comes the drama...I think most of it comes from people writing the way they would talk to someone. The smart remarks and sarcasm that in person may be delivered with finesse and wit and joking manner turn into "attacks" and general meanness. Maybe it's talking hard, radio Rambo, nerdy Internet bullying?? Well anyways, I keep my account open. Maybe I can help someone out if its convenient. I'll try not to attack anyone or make them feel small.
PS this is still a great resource to find out how to fix a scooter using the search options.

It's saying things to someone else you would never do face-to-face.

Hopefully, now that the "shakeup" is over with, people can get back to scooter topics and being more civil to each other. ( And yes it's easy just to say "just kidding" or LOL so they know no malice intended.)

I try to never NEVER let myself forget that there is a living breathing human being on the other end of the line. (and sometimes none too pleasant at that)
