Hey everyone,
Im brand new here and had a question. I have a 50cc chinese scooter that has an 80cc kit. It was running fine although I did notice that when I came to a light, the headlight did dim. One morning it suddenly would not start. No noise at all. Battery was tested and charged and is reading 13.3v. The problem is I have no kickstart as it was seized and mechanic said no need to fix it. I guess he was obviously wrong. Horn at headlights work when key is in on position. Is there any way to get it running so I can bring it somewhere to get fixed? Could it be the ignition button possibly? The stator is only about 6 months old. Scooter is a 2007 with 1k miles on the rebuild.
Thank you guys so much for any help you can provide, have a good day!
David

Try to start it by using a screwdriver to jump the solenoid.

Okay so if that is the case and it does start then it is likely the starter button could be bad? It did rain the night before it wouldn't start. Thanks again for your time and help.

If should spark too when you touch the two terminals together with a screw driver if it doesnt start it could be a bad ground or your starter motor, i actually had a probably with my project roketa scoot a few days ago it was my starter motor.

to make it easy get a mate with a bike then line up both back wheels get him to start his bike then rev it up with both wheels in contact with each other...it worked when i done it on a friends bike mind you his battery was dead and kick starter was broken so i dunno it might work.

Whoever had it before me rigged it up a little. In the battery box the three prong clips are disconnected and always have been. Im not sure what that is even for. But the fuse on battery is good and battery is charge. Going to go take seat off now and test the solenoid
