I have a taotao cy50/a and have been trying to upgrade it. I got a performance carb, new clutch, and tuned the weights. I tried sliders but the roller weights worked a lot better. What should I do next?Anything to make it last longer? Or perform better?

Bong is absolutely correct! The faster it goes, the faster it goes to the garbage dump! We always warn people before we do any mods other than jets and rollers.

I believe a modded scoot can last if you take care of it and its done right, we shall see.

if it really does 50 gps leave it alone about as good as it gets, 50mm big bore kits don't even reach 50 gps so your maxed. I had most the mods i have now and the 50mm big bore kit and i maxed at 48 gps on flat.

BBK will have the same top end since its based on gearing . Take off and uphill are better with a BBK . To be safe a 72cc works great as many have had problems with the 8xcc BBKs . Nobody will know you have a BBK as I have never heard of a cop taking apart a scooter to see the bore diameter . The trick is to ride at moped speeds if you have to and enjoy it when its clear to do so
If you want a speedy 49cc then a 2t is the best option as they are not only faster but easier to service and tune

Replace the fuel lines with clear yellow Tygon lines. That eliminates 1/2 of all carb problems. Get a little bigger main jet. Change your oil and gear oil often. Listen to about 1/2 of the posts here.
