I just bought another non running scooter. This one is a 150cc. Does not run, no spark so I just ordered a new cdi and coil. But while just doing checks on it found the ground to the cdi not showing ground, I have a power prob and it tells me when there is a ground. The starter fires and other green wires are shown they are grounded. I also used my muti meter and the beeping setting showing other green wires are connected. Used the frame connection. So back to the problem, I have two green wires running to the large plug That plugs into the cdi. So is there another place the cdi might ground to or should it use the same ground as everything else. Ideas greatly appreciated. Also used Mutimeter to check stator and it looks good

The green wires in the cdi plug should be fixed to ground all the time .

Ok answered my own question. Grounds come together at a point and continue to fram ground. Found when I tore into the wires the soldering job where cdi and coil hook into the system was bad cut and resoldered got spark

I prefer to pull a heaver wire and connect the grounds to it same as factory . I go from the battery to the engine , then follow all through the harness .
