What BBK are you running with. True 43mph is pretty damn good for a 50cc 4 stroke. You can get a couple more mph tuning your CVT putting in a little bigger Variator and playing with the weights or the best bang for more top end is go a little taller in your tranny gears IF you are pulling good RPMS. I'm running the 72cc kit but I with the exhaust and filter etc I'm thinking possibly the 86 is holding me back a bit. I don't know. Also I already have taller gears and rpm's are still great.

Well jets don't cost that much try a 88 and a 90 main then but don't expect to much a bigger jet may slow it down with to much fuel.
It is all trial and error it all depends on the motor some make more power than others not all motors identical motors make the same power. Sam

That's not really what I wanted to hear but it will work. You don't think an 86 is too small. Most people with my kit, I've read run a 90 and pull about 45+. Thanks.

I have a agilty 50 kymco scoot And I have a 86 jet and open air box and race cdi and I can almost hit 50 at times. also 5.5 rollers and a smoothe boss drive. im happy with the way I get in up to 45 and thats even with a stock air box on it in the winter. with a 86 jet you can run open or closed air box.

Now you can have too big of jet with too large of a size ( pretty sure you dont with 86 ) which will hurt performance instead of help . Here is some basic info on operation and tuning of a carb . Does yours have the air/fuel screw covered up ? Can you adjust the needle position on the clip ? Many stock carbs are not really tuneable like an aftermarket one is and a new carb can be as low as 30 dollars and well worth it . When it comes to jet tuning plan on lots of trial and error testing to get it right as your needs may not be the same as it is for others like elevation and climate have a huge part in what jet would be best for you . Here is a plug chart to compare your with www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.htmlIt is worthwhile to get a jet kit to fine tune it and have extras in case you make more mods later like this jet kit enviromoto.ecrater.com/p/4129835/naraku-main-jet-set-gy6-50 Get a caliper to measure the dimension of the jets . Harbor Freight has them for 2 dollars for simple ones and 10 with LCD display . Here is a guide to help you learn what jets you have www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_identify_that_jet.htm
