Performance exhaust problem

just rec'd a performance exhaust. when it was ordered all engine numbers matched [50cc [actually 49cc] 2t minarelli engine. the exhaust pipe to engine doesn't come close to matching up. not sure why when everything matched and dealer said it would fit. any suggestions? adapter kits? ?? need some help! anybody else have this problem?
