Hey everyone I'm new here I've had the kymco for about 6 months and it unrestricted does about 40 MPH on flats has 200 some odd miles on it so haven't changed gear oil yet and at dealer derestricted it with parts came with I had some questions it's a 2012 model and I've been screening the web for answers but can't find em for my model I have a pretty tight budget and am somewhat mechanically inclined first question is I know the put the other jet on not sure what size it is and with that can I add a more free flow airfilter to in crease top end as well I know I can buy an exhaust but on mine before the exhaust about midway there is a nut and I'm not sure what it's for so I don't wanna start adjusting or removing it but could that be were I could have to drill to allow more airflow and would the unrestricted jet be OK for that also about the cdi would buying an aftermarket one help with speed or top end like I said I'm pretty new to all this so help would be appreciated thanks in advance

if you allow any more air in you are going to up jet the carb trust me if its riding fine now with the jet thats in it you cant add any more air especially a open air filter not sure about the nut on the exhaust need a picture but to add a exhaust you will need to up jet also and to let you know there is no set answer to jet size just a round about number then you are going to have to find that right size by trail and error

OK I'll take a pic of the exhaust when it's alittle more light out so no matter what I do I'm looking at bigger jets thanks for the info also I was wondering if I should run premium fuel all the time as apposed to regular and I saw somewere saying an iridium plug ngk
