Hello all.......... I would first like to thank every one on here for the culminary pool of knowledge that you guys represent !! In valuable!! Ok....now my wife drives her 2008 Fashion 250 everywhere. If I recall correctly there is app 1500 or so miles on it. Today when she turned it off to get gas, upon turning the ignition back on the dash lights, blinkers stopped working completely and the head light is extremely dim....almost non existant. When you press the ignition button the dash light comes on but turns right back off when you release the ignition switch. The rear brake lights work fine. I checked all the fuses but they are fine. Is this a wiring short somewhere or could it be the ignition switch? Please help this is her only means of transportation and I dont feel it is safe with out the head light and blinkers.
THANKS TO ANY AND ALL !!.................. Rome

Both are extremely weak ...borderline intermittent. Perhaps 10% of normal.

Would this explain the blinkers and instrument panels not working? Is this all on one circuit? I guess what Im asking is if the head light is not getting a good connection would this cause everything else to quit? I love playing with wiring ( I use to wire low rider cars ) so this doesnt scare me but just curious how everything works on one of these. Playing with the key the lights will flash some times......which leads me to believe a possible short? THANKS!!...............

OK........here we go............. I check all wires..... including every one and all fuses behind the dash panel. All the wires looked good, no wearing as I expected to find. Now here is the situation............neither blinkers work......the brights dont work........the horn doesnt work.....the bright light doesnt work.... ANDDDDD the lights stay on even after removing the key. Seems like pretty much everything on the left side handle bar doesnt work now. My wife said that all she did was try to start it after refueling and all of a sudden nothing worked. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks again

Wiggle/tighten your grounding points and check for rust or corrosion

You have a short somewhere . Check all connections with a continuity meter

What they call a valve but is a switching diode with a heatsink located somewhere on the right side of the engine. The lights on with the switch off is caused by this item being shorted.

I had a bad connection on my wiring harness plug, where one of the wires ends was not snapped in place, and this caused total electrical shut down as it had no connection. You have to unsnap the plugs and push on each wire end to see if they are snapped in place.
It ran fine until one day it quit running as I was going down the street.
